SMP Islam Al Azhar 8 is the embryo of two outstanding classes of SMPIA 6 Jakapermai. With the issuance of an operational permit in 1999 and in accordance with needs, SMPIA 8 was officially established with a campus in the Kemang Pratama area of Bekasi. In line with its mandate, Al Azhar 8 Islamic Junior High School has developed in accordance with the expectations of the Al Azhar Islamic Boarding School Foundation (YPI), namely as an elite school capable of achieving excellence in both academic and non-academic fields. This applies not only to the local area where the school is located but also to wider regions, nationally and even internationally. Thanks to the hard work of the academic community of SMP Islam Al Azhar 8 under the auspices of the Waqaf Al Muhajirien Jakapermai Foundation (YWAM JP) Bekasi, which has always provided support and solid cooperation with its partner foundation, the Al Azhar Islamic Boarding School Foundation (YPIA), SMP Islam Al Azhar 8 has been able to fulfill the above expectations and even develop further in line with its vision and mission. SMP Islam Al Azhar 8 Bekasi, under the auspices of the Waqaf Al Muhajirien Jakapermai Foundation (YWAM JP), which has been serving the community for 40 years, manages the Al Azhar Jakapermai Islamic School, Kemang Pratama, Grandwisata, MI Al Muhajirien school, Al Azhar Jakapermai Mosque, PT Wisata Al Azhar Jakapermai, and the Al Muhajirien Training Center Building, which continue to intensify their good efforts in serving the needs of the community.
